Series RIF
High-capacity ventilator with smoke and
heat extraction function!
The Series
RIF ventilators, including the sound attenuating models A1 to A3
and RIF-SD, can also be equipped with a smoke and heat extraction
unit in accordance with the relevant DIN standard. Based on extensive
tests, GAL received its first certificate of conformity for the
gravity roof ventilators with smoke and heat extraction functions.
These tests are according to the DIN 18232 standard, Part 3. They
comprise an operational safety test that is performed by activating
the control dampers 10,000 times, and a fire test in which the ventilator
is exposed to a temperature of 300°C in a fire chamber.
Series RIF gravity roof ventilators
with integrated smoke and heat extraction functions attain a coefficient
of discharge Cv0 of 0.65
to 0.75 depending on the model.
