We have been designing, manufacturing and installing industrial ventilation systems that meet the highest standards of quality for 60 years.

Back in 1964, we built the largest streamline ventilator in Europe and, in 1974, the largest sound attenuated gravity roof ventilator in the world. Over the years, GAL has built up vast expertise in the design and manufacture of ventilation systems of all sizes: from single small ventilators to large-scale ventilation systems.

The founding years

1964

Foundation of business as "GAL Gesellschaft für angewandte Lufttechnik mbH by W.F. Morschheuser in Düsseldorf

1970

First international projects and renaming to GAL International GmbH. Relocation to Korschenbroich

The american eighties

1979

bought by h.h. Robertson based in Pittsburgh, USA and renaming to RobertsonGAL GmbH. GAL becomes the coroprate R&D center for worldwide natural ventilation products

1987

retreat of the robertson coproration from europe and management-buyout by the founder family. Renamed to RoGAL GmbH.

Globalisation

1998

2^nd generation takes over and renaming to GAL Industrial Ventilation Solutions GmbH

new millenium

focusing on european and non-european export projects

2008

execution of the largest project in the company history in Kaskhstan

A Partnership for the future

2014

50^th Anniversary

Riedstadt based aTmos GmbH invests in GAL and a joint portfolio of natural ventilation, forced ventilation, daylighting and roofing is offered.

2018

GAL is integrated into aTmos completely. As aTmos focuses mainly on roofing and daylighting, the core business of Natural Ventilation including patents and trademarks is transfered into GAL Ventilation GmbH

GAL and Ferrostaal Air Technology GmbH, based in Saarwellingen, form a cooperation in the area of industrial natural ventilation.

2024

60th Anniversary

Ferrostaal Air Technology GmbH is renamed to DIAG TGA GmbH and invests in GAL Ventilation GmbH. GAL becomes a member of the DIAG Group.
